Kindersley Crescent is located in the area of Chesterton, just a few minutes on foot from both Midsummer Common and the River Cam. Situated along the northwest bank of the river, Chesterton is now part of the city of Cambridge, although until 1912 it was regarded as a village.
Today, the area retains this "local" atmosphere and has its own church and high street with local amenities. It is also home to a number of historically significant buildings, including Chesterton Hall (built in 1630) and The Green Dragon Pub, one of the oldest hostelries in Cambridge.
The city centre is easily reached from Chesterton on foot or by bicycle. As a result, the area combines the benefits of a village community with the convenience of city living.
Kindersley Crescent is ideally situated for easy access to the Cambridge Science Park and the A14 and M11. Regular trains also run from Cambridge station to London Liverpool St (1hr 10mins), Kings Cross (50 mins) and Stansted Airport (40 mins).*
